As the First preeminent International Travel event of Cambodia, The Angkor International Tourism Exchange 2006 is organized for members of international tourism fraternity and the Cambodian tourism industry in association with the Royal Government of Cambodia, The Ministry of Tourism, The APSARA Authority, Cambodia Hotel Association (CHA), Cambodian Association of Travel Agents (CATA), the hosts of the Angkor Gyeongju World Cultural Expo from Korea and supported by the entire tourism industry in Cambodia. AITEX shall be the largest travel and tourism event ever organized in Siem Reap Cambodia. Held at the new exhibition building AICC (Angkor International Convention Center) at Siem Reap, AITEX 2006 is expected to attract 400 booths from all over the world covering an area of 8,000 square meters.

AITEX 2006 is timed to coincide with the Angkor Gyeongju World Cultural Expo 2006 (21 November 2006 – 9 January 2007) in Siem Reap, Cambodia that is expected to attract over 500,000 visitors from around the world showcasing Cambodia and Korea Traditional Cultural shows.
